A Lucky Streak at Sharjah...

This is no store you would stumble upon while window shopping at a mall, no well laid décor ideas for inspiration, no air-conditioned cooling, no fancy name, no tag lines. Lucky’s however, is a store tucked away by the Sharjah Industrial area, where ceiling fans are all you will have to control temperature (should you be distracted by the heat, that is) and furniture and décor items are stacked or piled (dust inclusive) for display. However…however…I guarantee, none of this will deter you if you are the sort that believes in quality and bargain. No oxymoron that one, trust me. It only helps that the store is spread over 4 warehouses laden with solid wood furniture. Be it almirahs, entertainment centres, seaters, tables etc., you’ll find them all there and in almost all varieties - carved, embellished, painted or antiqued. What’s more, the manager will gladly have the furniture stained if you prefer it that way and will also wax and fumigate it for you at no extra cost. Overwhelming? Indeed! So, without more ado, here’s presenting a few gems that the store manager allowed me to shoot…only for you! *sigh* are you lost in these pictures?? Spot the trunks in the below picture... !!
I could have wanted everything in this store!! If this has been eye candy for you and you want to be there now, here's how!
Dont forget to share your experiences at Lucky's with us! :-)

  7. Hi Girls,

Awesome find guys! (must decide if ure girls or errr, guy??) anyho, I wanted to share this fun find with you all who live in uae. I have been in this country for 5 years now and moved from london. Every weekend I would moan to my hubster about dubai lacking 'flea-market' culture...I have spent many a lovely weekends browsing at flea markets in england.I avoid visiting malls which are not my idea of a fun weekend and now with a baby even more so. I will do anything to keep my child away from the malls...again, not my idea of fun childhood.

so imagine my delight when in church the other day a freind pointed me to this http://www.dubai-fleamarket.com/ yes!!! Dubai does indeed have it's one and only organised flea market held every saturday at safa park between 8-3pm. Do visit and check it out. I am heading out here tomorow and hoping to find some nice things for the house. I think tomorow's market is the last one being organised for the summer....funnnn!
And now I have one more fun stuff to do over a weekend ie visit this store Harshi! Thanks for sharing...just a quick q though, is is expensive???

    cheers
    harshi
